Baruna Weapons, Shield and Armor Upgrading
Awakening
Awakening is the process of adding additional stats to a piece of equipment. The stats that are added can be either positive or negative. Some items can have all the possible stats on them, whereas others only can have certain stats. The table below shows which items can be awakened and which stats they are able to get.
Item | Awakes |
Weapon | All Stats |
Shield | All Stats |
Armor Helmet | STR STA DEX INT Max. HP Max. MP Max. FP |
Armor Suit | All Stats |
Armor Gauntlets | Critical Chance Attack Decreased Casting Time Attack Speed Max. MP Max. FP |
Armor Boots | Increased Critical Damage Speed DEF Max. HP Max. MP Max. FP |
How to Awaken
To awaken a piece, you will have to talk to your Upgrade Spirit. Here you can awake your item for 100,000 Penya per try.
Awakening Results
Once an item has been awakened, the only way to remove the awakened attributes is to use a Baruna Oblivion, which can be purchased in the Flyff Shop. Using this scroll on an awakened item will remove all of the awakened stats and return the item to its original unawakened state. Cancelling the awakening can not fail and will not break the item. If the same item is awakened again after having an awakening cancelled, it will receive completely new random stats.
You remove the awake in the menu of your Baruna Upgrade Spirit. Choose the option “Cancel Baruna Awakening” and it will show a screen where you enter your weapon and Baruna Oblivion. Once you press “Start” it will remove the awake.
If you only want to change one line of the awake you can use a Scroll of Awakening Augmentation. When Double Clicking the Scroll you get an interface where you have to select the item you want to use the Scroll on. When the item is selected it will show all the awake lines, you can choose which one you want to chance by pressing the tick in front of it. Once you press start, it will roll for a new awake.
Piercing
Piercing is a process which creates a card socket on an armor suit and weapon. In order to pierce an item you need a Cosmo Stone and to avoid breaking your item it is recommended to use a Scroll of GProtect (Baruna).
There is one way to pierce an item, by “Safe Piercing at your Upgrade Spirit. The “Safe Piercing” will let you do 10 tries in a short time and will stop automatically when there is no Scroll of GProtect (Baruna) in the slot. To fill all slots at once press SHIFT and Double Click the Cosmo Stones or Scrolls of GProtect (Baruna).
Cards
You can only put cards on your Baruna suit. Putting a card in the socket has a 100% success rate, the item and the cards will never be lost in the process of applying cards in the item. To apply a card you have to Double Click the card and then click on the item you want the card to be added. More information about the cards can be found on this page.
Removing Cards of Baruna Suit
To remove Cards from the Suit, You will need [Upgrade Spirit], 1,000,000 Penya and Scroll of Baruna Reversion, Choose the option “Remove Baruna Card & Runes” to remove the card

Runes
Runes will enable you to make your weapons stronger. Runes give the weapons special abilities such as a possibility to one hit an enemy. To place runes on your weapon, you will need to select Socket Ancient Rune at your Upgrade Spirit. In the first spot you have to place your weapon, the second spot is for the Rune of your choice, a Scroll of RProtect can be placed in the 3rd spot, and as last you can place a Scroll of Rune Socketing Success.
The Scroll of RProtect protects your weapon from breaking in case the process fails, whereas the Scroll or Rune Socketing Success increases the odds for a success.

Element Upgrade
Weapons and Suits can be upgraded with elemental oves to do more damage to monsters or receive less damage from monsters. Upgrading the element until +2 can be done safely. +1 and +2 have a 100% success rate, +3 till +20 will break your item when the upgrade fails. Adding an element can increase your damage, but it can also decrease your damage against certain monsters. Most of the monsters have an element, these elements are shown in 2 ways in the game.
Each element is strong to one other element and weak to another. The arrows show against which element it is strong (clockwise), counterclockwise shows against which element it is weak. For example Fire is strong against Wind, but weak against Water.

Baruna Weapon Fusion
You can fuse two 2-handed weapons together, to get double the Rune and awake on your weapon. At your Upgrade Spirit you can choose the option “Baruna Two-Handed Fusion”. In this screen you have to select both your weapons, keep in mind these can only be Baruna Weapons and have to be the same type of weapon. You can fuse a Bow with a Bow, but not a Bow with a Yo-Yo. When you fuse 2 items with a rune, the special effect such as poison will not get increased, only the stats like 180 STA and 80% Increased HP will get added to the main weapon. It will also not take the jewels into consideration with the fusion. The upgrade level of the sacrificial item will give the main weapon an attack bonus. If you use a Stat Scroll on your sacrificial item it will be added to the Fusion Bonus as long as it was not made with the Scroll of Strenght, Stamine, Dexterity or Intelligence.
The other item you need for the fusion is Baruna Fusion Catalyst. The percentage for a success can be increased by using the item Baruna Two-Handed Fusion Success Rate Increase Scroll.
If the fusion fails, your sacrificial item will be destroyed. However, with the Magic Baruna Polishing Stone you can prevent the destruction.
Stat Scroll
To add some more stats to your armor, weapon or shield you can use the Stat Scrolls. There are several scrolls with different stats, they add a small amount on your item. The normal Scroll of Strength, Stamina, Dexterity and Intelligence are not added when you use it on a fusion weapon, however the other scroll will be added when you fuse it.
