This page will show the details of how to become a Blade. A blade can wield 2 axes or 2 swords and will later become a Slayer.

Heren’s Successor -Blade-

Quest Starting Location: Darkon
Starting NPC: (Blade Master) Corel
Quest Requirement: Level 60 Mercenary.
Objective: Find Heren’s earrings and meet the Blade Wise-man Guabrill.
Reward:This quest has no rewards

Quest dialogue:
“I am the successor of Heren, who was the first Blade Hero. So you also want to become a Blade? Ha, in order to be a Blade, you need to have both fast reaction speed and destructive strength. This job is not for just anyone. Alright, so you still want to become a Blade? Even though they call me the greatest Blade Master next to the late Heren, I cannot just say, ‘Poof, you’re a Blade!’ In order to become a Blade, you need to get the approval of Blade Wise-man Guabrill. He is not as good as me, but in his golden days, he was a very popular Blade. That old man’s very picky when deciding, so it might be hard to get his approval. Should I give you a tip? Guabril was looking for Heren’s earrings a couple years ago. They’re rumored to be around Darkon 3 in the Heret area. If you find it and bring it to Gaubril, he might approve of you.”

Accepting Quest dialogue:
“If you just go to him with nothing, he probably won’t even give you the time of day. Go to Darkon 3 in the Heret area and find Heren’s earrings for him.”

Denying Quest dialogue:
“It seems as though you still aren’t sure what you want to do. Don’t waste my time.”

During Quest dialogue:
“Unfortunately I cannot make you into a Blade. You must go find the Blade Wise-man Guabril.”

Completed Quest dialogue:
“Oh my, this is the Great Heren’s earrings! Where did you find this?! So what is it that you want from me? I see… So you want to become a Blade?”

Guabril’s Test -Blade-

Quest Starting Location: Northern Flaris
Starting NPC: (Blade Wise-man) Guabrill
Quest Requirement: Level 60 Mercenary, must have completed the Heren’s Successor -Blade-.
Objective: Destroy 10 Pranksters at the Garden of Rhisis and return to (Blade Wise-man) Guabrill.
Reward: Mark of Hero

Quest dialogue:
“Hmm… Since you brought such a precious item to me, I want to grant your wish. Even though I am superior to nearly all other Blades, I cannot grant your wish just like that. I will help you become a Blade if you go to the Garden of Rhisis and kill 10 Pranksters. Certainly you must be capable of doing this if you are trying to become a Blade, right?”

Accepting Quest dialogue:
“That’s right, even as a Blade supporter, this task is easy as 1,2,3. I am giving you such an easy task for bringing these earrings to me. Alright, hurry and go kill 10 Pranksters now.”

Denying Quest dialogue:
“Tsk Tsk! How can someone so young have no manners… You should be ashamed that you went to see the great Heren.”

During Quest dialogue:
“You’re not saying you’re not going to destroy those 10 Pranksters right? Do it quickly, and return.”

Completed Quest dialogue:
“You destroyed them faster than I thought. Alright! As I promised, I will help you in becoming a Blade.”

Blade Priest Jeperdy -Blade-

Quest Starting Location: Eastern Flarine
Starting NPC: (Blade Wise-man) Guabrill
Quest Requirement: Level 60 Mercenary, must have completed the Guabril’s Test -Blade-.
Objective: Deliver the Mark of Hero to the (Blade Priest) Jeperdy.
Reward: This quest has no rewards

Quest dialogue:
“Ha-ha, now that you completed your task, you think that I should make you a Blade? I’m sorry, but this body was a Blade for a long time, and while I have a good eye for who might become a Blade and who might not, I cannot myself make you a Blade. The only people that can turn you into a Blade is the Blade Priest and Blade Guardian. Now that I know you have the quality to be a Blade, I am giving you this Mark of Hero. Take this and show it to the Blade Priest Jeperdy. She is located at the Blade Altar in Darkon 3 in the Breken area. If you tell her I sent you, and show her the Mark of Hero, she will make you into a Blade.”

Accepting Quest dialogue:
“Go find the Blade Priest Jeperdy at the Knight Altar in Darkon 3 in the Breken area. If you become a Blade, come back and visit me. I pray that you will, one day, be a great Blade like the Great Heren.”

Denying Quest dialogue:
“Have you changed your mind already? Well that is too bad… Humph. All that time wasted…”

During Quest dialogue:
“You still haven’t left? Are you not sure how to get to Darkon 3? Ride either a board or broom and go to the Blade Priest Jeperdy. You can look at your quest window if you’re desperate.”

Completed Quest dialogue:
“So Guabril sent you? I hear he is a very picky person but I see you have the Mark of Hero. You must have completed his task.”

Darkon 3

Blade Guardian -Succession-

Quest Starting Location: Darkon 3
Starting NPC: (Blade Priest) Jeperdy
Quest Requirement: Level 60 Mercenary, must have completed the Blade Priest Jeperdy -Blade-.
Objective: Get Venel’s Heart and go meet the (Blade Guardian) Sencyrit.
Reward: 80 Skill Points, and Blade job.

Quest dialogue:
“Alright. Let’s start the ritual in becoming a Blade. The first step is to purify your body so that a Blade’s energy can flow through you. Are you ready? Pow! Luendia Barue Ohn Shoch!! Huff…Huff… Your body has been purified. Now you can have a Blade’s energy flow through you. You can’t feel the difference? What.. why do you look as though you are suspicious? Wait! You can become a Blade soon. You can whine all you want but you cannot be a Blade just like that. There is one further step. Go find the Blade Guardian Sencyrit and she will help you. You must defeat the Venel Guardian, take its heart and go to Guardiane. There, give the heart to Blade Guardian Sencyrit and you will become a Blade.”

Accepting Quest dialogue:
“You can find the Venel Guardian in the Guardian room in the south part of Darkon 3. Kill it, take its heart and find the Blade Guardian Sencyrit at Guardiane.”

Denying Quest dialogue:
“So you’ve heard the rumors about the Venel Guardian? Any ordinary fighter would be terrified to approach such a thing. It’s sad, I thought you were greater than that.”

During Quest dialogue:
“The Blade Guardian Sencyrit is located in the heart of Guardiane. Climb the mystical stairs and you can find her amongst the other holy guardians.”

Completed Quest dialogue:
“I sense a purified energy radiating from you. Did you come to receive the energy of a Blade? You must’ve gone through many tasks to get here. I believe you are ready! You will now be reborn as a Blade through this sacred heart of the Venel Guardian. With the great Heren’s speed, strength and spirit, you will be a deadly Blade! Wake up! With the deadly edge of your swords, defeat all the evil in Madrigal!”
