How to Awaken

To awaken a piece, you will have to talk to (Jewel Manager) Peach in Central Flarine. In her store she sells the Scroll of Awakening for 100,000 Penya.

To use the scroll you have to Double Click the scroll in your inventory and it will show a hammer. Next click the piece you want awaken, after a few seconds it will show “Item has been awakened” and the item will show awakes. Awakening is a safe process which does not break your item and has 100% chance of succeeding.

Awakening Results

Once an item is awakened, it will have five additional stats added to it. The number and type of attributes added are random and can be either positive or negative stats. Below you can find the possible stats with chance. It is possible to get multiple of the same stats on one item.

Remove Awakening

Once an item has been awakened, the only way to remove the awakened attributes is to use a Scroll of Reversion, which can be purchased in the Flyff Shop. Using this scroll on an awakened item will remove all of the awakened stats and return the item to its original unawakened state. Cancelling the awakening can not fail and will not break the item. If the same item is awakened again after having an awakening cancelled, it will receive completely new random stats.

Sometimes you get an awake you like, but can still be improved. In order to not lose the current awake you can use Scroll of Awakening Protection, which can be purchased from the Flyff Shop. Using this scroll will allow you to original awake or the new one after reversion.

If you only want to change one line of the awake you can use a Scroll of Awakening Augmentation. When Double Clicking the Scroll you get an interface where you have to select the item you want to use the Scroll on. When the item is selected it will show all the awake lines, you can choose which one you want to chance by pressing the tick in front of it. Once you press start, it will roll for a new awake.

Piercing

Piercing is a process which creates a card socket on an armor suit, weapon and shield. In order to pierce an item you need a Moonstone and to avoid breaking your item it is recommended to use a Scroll of GProtect.

There are two ways to pierce an item, by “Piercing” or by “Safe Piercing” at (Upgrade Specialist) BoBoChan. The first method allows you to pierce without a GProtect Scroll, however if you do not want to break your item you have to active the GProtect Scroll during this process. The “Safe Piercing” will let you do 10 tries in a short time and will stop automatically when there is no Scroll of GProtect in the slot. To fill all slots at once press SHIFT and Double Click the Moonstones or Scrolls of GProtect.

Cards

There are two types of cards that can be placed in the socket. You have one set for the armor suit and one set for weapons and shields. Putting a card in the socket has a 100% success rate, the item and the cards will never be lost in the process of applying cards in the item. To apply a card you have to Double Click the card and then click on the item you want the card to be added. More information about the cards can be found on this page.

Suit Socket Cards

The cards that you can add to your suit are the following

HP MP FP Attack DEF
Volcano Card (2%) Ocean Card (2%) Vacuum Card (2%) Lightning Card (2%) Earthquake Card (2%)
Volcano Card (3%) Ocean Card (3%) Vacuum Card (3%) Lightning Card (3%) Earthquake Card (3%)
Volcano Card (4%) Ocean Card (4%) Vacuum Card (4%) Lightning Card (4%) Earthquake Card (4%)
Volcano Card (7%) Ocean Card (7%) Vacuum Card (7%) Lightning Card (7%) Earthquake Card (7%)
Volcano Card (10%) Ocean Card (10%) Vacuum Card (10%) Lightning Card (10%) Earthquake Card (10%)
Volcano Card (12%) Ocean Card (12%) Vacuum Card (12%) Lightning Card (12%) Earthquake Card (12%)

These cards will increase the specific attribute by a certain %. They can be mixed and matched in suits, however when you want to remove a card it will always remove the last added cards first. In a suit you have a maximum of 4 slots, this means that the highest % for Volcano cards is 48% HP increase. You can also do two Volcano Cards (12%) and two Lightning Cards (12%), which results in 24% HP and 24% Attack.

Weapon and Shield Socket Cards

The cards that you can add to your weapons and shields are the following

Fire Water Wind Electric Land
Fire Card (D) Water Card (D) Wind Card (D) Electric Card (D) Land Card (D)
Fire Card (C) Water Card (C) Wind Card (C) Electric Card (C) Land Card (C)
Fire Card (B) Water Card (B) Wind Card (B) Electric Card (B) Land Card (B)

Fire Card (S) Water Card (S) Wind Card (S) Electric Card (S) Land Card (S)
Fire Card (R) Water Card (R) There is no Wind Card (R) Electric Card (R) Land Card (R)

Just like the Suit Socket Cards, these cards also add attributes. For example, adding a Fire Card (S) will increase your STR by 12 and your Increased Critical Damage by 5%. These cards can be mixed and matched for 1 cumulative effect, or different effects. You can add a maximum of 10 Socket Cards on each weapon and shield.

Element Upgrade

Weapons and Suits can be upgraded with elemental cards to do more damage to monsters or receive less damage from monsters. Upgrading the element until +3 can be done safely. +1 and +2 have a 100% success rate, +3 might fail but will not break your item. +4 till +20 will break your item when the upgrade fails. Adding an element can increase your damage, but it can also decrease your damage against certain monsters. Most of the monsters have an element, these elements are shown in 2 ways in the game.

Each element is strong to one other element and weak to another. The arrows show against which element it is strong (clockwise), counterclockwise shows against which element it is weak. For example Fire is strong against Wind, but weak against Water.

Upgrading Armor and Non-Ultimate Weapons

Upgrading weapons and armor require Sunstones and can only be upgrade till +10. You can safely upgrade weapons and armor up to +3. +1 and +2 have a 100% success rate, whereas +3 might fail but will not break the item. After +3 it is recommended to use a Scroll of SProtect.

You can either use the manual upgrading or you can use the “Safe Upgrade” option at (Upgrade Specialist) BoBoChan. For the manual upgrading you have to Double Click the Sunstone and then click the item you want to upgrade. If you wish to use a Scroll of SProtect you would have to active this scroll before using the Sunstone. The “Safe Upgrade” will let you try 10 Sunstones at once, and will stop if there is no Scroll in the slot to safe your item. For upgrading you will receive a bonus. For weapons the attack will go up, for example a Legendary Golden Axe has normally 258 ~ 369 Attack, when upgraded to +6 it becomes 305 ~ 430 Attack. For armor the DEF will go up, but if you have a set upgraded together you will also get a bonus. For the DEF we will take the Flury Suit as example. Normally this suit has 283 ~ 286 DEF, if this suit is upgraded to +6 it will become 330 ~ 334 DEF. The set effect when all parts are upgraded are the following

Upgrade level Hit Block Increased HP Add Magical Power All Stat
3 +5% +3% 0 +3 0
4 +10% +3% 0 +4 0
5 +10% +3% +5% +5 +1
6 +20% +6% +5% +6 +1
7 +20% +6% +5% +7 +1
8 +30% +10% +10% +8 +2
9 +30% +10% +10% +9 +2
10 +45% +15% +20% +10 +2

This bonus will only appear if every part is that specific upgrade, for example when all parts are +3 you will get the bonus of +3. However, if 1 part is +3 and the other three are +9, you will still only get the +3 bonus.

Glow

Together with a bonus comes the glow you receive from upgrading your armor. The glow gets stronger each upgrade. All the glows and their corresponding upgrade can be found below.

When upgrading weapons it will not glow like armor, but it will shows a different colour when swinging your weapon. These can be found below with their corresponding upgrade.

Enchant Absolute Scroll

Enchant Absolute Scrolls can be used for upgrading as well. This scroll is available in +6, +7, +8, +9 and +10 versions. The scroll has a 100% success rate of converting your item to the upgrade corresponding to the Scroll number. You upgrade your armor and weapon (non Ultimate) with this scroll by Double Click the scroll and then the item you want to upgrade.

It is possible to upgrade the scroll to a higher tier. 5 scrolls of the same level can be exchanged for 1 higher tier scroll at (Upgrade Specialist) BoBoChan. For example, you have 5 +7 Enchant Absolute Scrolls. These will be exchanged into 1 +8 Enchant Absolute Scroll.
